Amber’s baby butterfly quilt

Amber made this sweet baby butterfly quilt for her niece who just had her first baby.  Her baby is long awaited and an absolute miracle.  She’s here, and healthy!  

Amber used fabrics from sistersandquilters.etsy.com and I love the light grey background!  The hints of gold definitely add a little some thing to the butterfly wings.  

If I remember right I used a light cream 30 tex Perma Core thread and a 8020 cotton/poly blend batting.

I suggested Patricia Ritter’s Good Vibrations #1 design, for the quilting.  I love how it turned out.  It’s available at urbanelementz.com and I like to space the lines 3/4” apart.    The wavy lines create some great movement across the quilt.
