Barbara’s Mini Quilt

Hello!!
I hope you’re each doing well!! I have oodles of quilts to share, but instead of sharing them all in the same post, I’ll share them separately. I asked about that in my last post…one quilt vs. multiple quilts in a post, and the response was the same…one per post. Thanks to those of you who chimed in.

This beautiful mini quilt was made by Barbara!! She has so many fun different quilts that she brings for me to quilt…like this one, and I have a few more of hers to share.

The pattern is called Smack Dab in the Middle by Kim Diehl, from the Whatnots Club.

I wanted to show off and enhance the center part, so I thought the arcs and feathers would be a nice touch!! I love how it turned out!! I used my Circle2™ machine quilting circle rulers to quilt the curves and orange peel petals along the borders and in the center. I think I used the 4” Circle2™ ruler for the petals and my 12” Circle2™ ruler for the curves.

I used Linda from The Quilted Pineapple’s 8” Edge ruler along the borders.

I used a cream Omni thread on the entire quilt, from Superior Threads. It blends beautifully, even on the darker fabrics. Barbara brought a scrap of 8020 batting.

A close up of the center!!

Here are my green Circle2™ machine quilting circle rulers. The 4” inner circle is what I used for the orange peels. My Circle2™ rulers are available in my shop.
