Debbie’s Shadow Blossom Quilt

Debbie made this incredible Shadow Blossom quilt which is a pattern by Carolyn from Free Bird Quilting Designs.

The pattern can be found here: https://www.freebirdquiltingdesigns.com.au/shop/16-shadow-blossom-pattern/?utm_source=IGShopping&utm_medium=Social

I used Hobbs wool batting which made the quilting pop!!! We also decided on a Omni-V variegated thread that matched these colors from Superior Threads.

I suggested Undulation by Ambling Vines for the quilting design, and Debbie said yes!! It’s such a fun design and quilts out beautifully. It can be found at https://matantequiltingshop.com/products/undulation

The texture with this pattern is soooo good!!

Because the blossoms in the pattern are so large I did the quilting design large as well. The scale at which I quilt panto designs has a lot to do with the overall scale of the pattern. Something more dense wouldn’t harmonize very well.

Thanks for stopping by!! If you’d like me to quilt something edge to edge for you, check out my calendar and schedule a day. https://calendly.com/quiltingit

Happy Quilting!! Leisha

Laurie’s Grandbaby Quilt

Hello there,

I have a quick and super cute quilt to share with you today!! Laurie made this for her first granddaughter!! I’m so excited for her! I’ve known Laurie for years and used to babysit her kids, so it’s fun for me to see her kids having kids of their own.

The pattern is called Layer Cake Loop, which is a free pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop.

Laurie used the super cute fabrics by Maureen McCormick called Flower Power…So cute, huh?!?!

I used the sweet panto from my dear friend Shelly’s mum shop called Sprig! I quilts out beautifully and it creates such beautiful texture.

I used my favorite 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles and Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads.

Check out all that beautiful texture…

And, she chose white minky for the backing!!

If you’re interested in having me quilt for you, check out my calendar and signup for a day!! I have lots of openings before Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you find some time to sew. - Leisha

Marsha’s Rose Embroidery Quilt

Hi There,

I’m excited to share with you some of the custom quilting details on this beautiful quilt that Marsha made.

She embroidered the Rose Blocks from Ace Points Embroidery, and then designed the rest of the quilt. I love the sweet blue floral she used, it pairs nicely with the rose blocks.

I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads, and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.

As you can see, I echoed around the embroidery blocks.

To try and create a beautiful frame around the Rose blocks, I quilted a couple of different curves. You can see a video of me quilting a block like the one below on my instagram.

I used my 9” Circle2 machine quilting circle ruler to quilt the arcs around the outside of the orange peel petals. My Circle2 ruler sets are available in my shop.

I used an Edge ruler from Linda at The Quilted Pineapple to quilt those beautiful lines. I quilted the lines leaving a 1/2” space between them, it’s simple and beautiful.

I used my 4” Circle2 ruler for the orange peel petals, after quilting a line with an Edge ruler of Linda’s. I love mixing lines and curves, when I custom quilt.

Check out all that lovely texture!

A close up!

Thanks for coming on by. I hope your making lots of pretty things in your free time. If you’re interested in having me quilt for you, check out my schedule. Happy quilting! • Leisha

Skye’s Hammock Quilt

I recently quilted this beautiful quilt for Skye!! I love the colors and prints in the Heather Ross “Sleeping Porch” fabrics. The pattern is called Hammock Quilt by Golly Patterns by Suppose Quilt Boutique, Skye got the kit from Suppose awhile ago. Suppose is a local fabric shop in Preston Idaho.

I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads.

I also used 8020 cotton poly comfort blend batting from Winline Textiles.

I gave Skye a few options for quilting, and she chose Soho by Sarah Ann Myers. It’s available at Urban Elementz. It’s such a fun versatile design.

I love the quilty Soho texture. It dances across the quilt.

I’ll leave you with a lovely quilty swirl.

Thanks for stopping by! If you’d like for me to quilt for you, schedule a spot on my calendar. Happy quilting!! Leisha

Barbara’s Dogs in Sweaters Quilt

Hello Friend,

I have another fun quilt to share with you today!!

Barbara made this super cute Dogs in Sweaters quilt, pattern by Elizabeth Hartman, for her daughter. Fun thing…her daughter’s dog looks just like these dogs.

I quilted it using Propel by my friend Jess from the Longarm League. This is such a fun design, especially with these cute doggies. If you’re a longarm quilter, have you heard of the Longarm League? Not only has Jess created such a wonderful community, she has so much wonderful educational content provided to members. If you want to expand your business and learn step by step things you can do to make your business better, the Longarm League would be a great fit for you.

I used Medium Grey Omni thread from Superior Threads, and 8020 comfort blend batting from Winline Textiles.

Look at that great quilty texture!!

Another look!
