Have you ever wanted to learn how to longarm machine quilt??? If you’re local to Logan, Utah...now is your chance! I’m teach not one but two classes. One for beginners and one for advanced quilters. Could you take both classes? Absolutely! The awesome thing about these classes, they are hands on. You will be using a Baby Lock longarm machine.

In the beginners class, I’m going to teach several fun all over freehand designs, like this wood grain. In the quilting world, it’s called free motion...meaning that you’re moving the machine, not a computer. Also, some great tips on how to start a business or deal with those pesky borders that like to wave on us sometimes. I want you to leave feeling confident and ready to quilt more than just a basic stipple.

For my advanced class, we are going to focus on custom quilting, and yes...there will be rulers!! No need to be scared. Rulers can add great texture and dimension to any shape or block on your quilt! AND...I’m excited to share, I’ll be debuting a set of my own longarm rulers in this class. They are just about to be released, and I’m excited to add them to my longarm ruler collection. Custom quilting adds sooo much more personality to a quilt. Do I think every quilt should be custom quilted, no. We’ll talk about that, too. My hope is that you leave class with some technics that will lead you to creating your own personal quilting style. No two quilters, quilt the same. We can also talk about some issues you may be having with quilts that you’ve been quilting. Talking with other quilters has always been a wealth of knowledge for me.

The quilt pictured above was made by Beth, and I quilted it back in April. I’m amazed at all I’ve learned...and with the years of practice I have under my belt...quilting a quilt like this one is possible. It’s one of my most favorite quilts I’ve ever quilted, and I’m excited to see what I’ll get to quilt next.
