Stacey’s Utah Panel Quilt

Being from Utah myself, quilts like these are so fun for me to quilt!

Stacey made this Utah Pillow panel quilt from a Free pattern by Riley Blake using panels from their national parks collection. Click here for the pattern: https://www.rileyblakedesigns.com/assets/images/freepatterns/quiltpatterns/NationalParksUtahPillowPanelFreePattern.pdf

When I search more about this pattern some people referred to it as a postcard. With the flying geese edges it almost looks like a postage stamp to me.

I’ve never been to capital reef before, but each place I have been to is beautiful and remarkable!

When I saw Stacey’s quilt I immediately thought of the Malachite design by Patricia Ritter. I’m so glad she said yes! The swirly meander is the perfect quilty texture. Malachite is available at Urban Elementz. Go to: https://www.urbanelementz.com/malachite.html

Here are some close-ups of each of the panels.

If you ever get a chance you should come to Utah and see these beautiful places.

I love the malachite quilty texture!!

I used a cream Omni thread from Superior Threads. As an ambassador for Superior Threads, they gave me a coupon code for you. Use code ASTLEISHA at checkout. https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3004-cream/p/134-02-3004

I used 4 oz bamboo from Winline Textiles on this quilt, and boy is it soft with a beautiful drape.

Thanks for stopping by!! If you’d like me to quilt for you, check out my edge to edge quilting calendar to schedule a day or two. https://calendly.com/quiltingit/edgetoedge

Happy quilting!! Leisha
