Lisa’s Nine Patch Quilt
Loved quilting this classic 9-patch quilt for Lisa!! She used 30’s prints, which can sometimes be hard to find. She had these in her stash.
Lisa didn’t have a pattern, but this wouldn’t be difficult to figure out. Cut squares the same size as the 9-patches that you make, then lay everything out on a bias. For the edges I always cut squares that are bigger, and typically do one to make sure it’s the right size before cutting all the triangles for the edges. If needed trim down the triangles leaving a 1/4” to sew on the borders or binding without cutting off the points.
I love everything about this quilt! Such a fun traditional throwback quilt!
Lisa wanted Baptist Clam by Laurie Thomas from It’s A Quilt Thing. You can find it here:

The quilty texture is soooo good!! I couldn’t love this more.
I used Cream Omni thread from Superior Threads to quilt it. It’s the perfect light yellow color, and it matched the background fabric perfectly. Go to: https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3004-cream/p/134-02-3004 and don’t forget to use my non-affiliate link at checkout, it’s ASTLEISHA.
I used 4 oz. bamboo batting from Winline Textiles, which is wonderful!
Are you hoping to get some of your quilts quilted? I would love to help you with that. Check out my calendar and schedule a day or two. Go to: https://calendly.com/quiltingit/edgetoedge
