Annie’s Flag Day Quilt 🇺🇸

Annie made another Flag Day Quilt!! She made one for her sister last summer, and finished hers for this summer. The pattern is by Christine from @stitchingrevival on instagram. I love this quilt!! The lighter blue added with the traditional red and navy, is such a fun addition. Annie said the line of fabric she used is Boat House by Sweetwater, she also pulled in a few other fabrics that coordinate from other lines.

Last year she had me quilt Good Vibrations #1 by Patricia Ritter on her sisters quilt, and so...we had to do the same thing! It’s such a perfect fit for this quilt!!! Good Vibrations #1 is available at https://www.urbanelementz.com/?acc=12

I quilted the wavy lines 1” apart. I have seen them 3/4” apart too.

I used my favorite Winline 8020 cotton poly blend batting and white Perma Core A&E 30 Tex thread.

Having a July birthday, I love everything Americana...especially quilts!

That buffalo plaid by Sweetwater is a perfect backing fabric. And...that quilty texture on the back is perfect. I have one more quilt to share with this same design on it. Hopefully tomorrow.
