Jeanne’s Lone Star Quilt
Jeanne made this lovely quilt for her mother in-law for Christmas, she lives by the ocean. The pattern is called Lone Star Quilt by Donna Jordan from Jordan Fabrics, and it’s free at: https://jordanfabrics.com/pages/lone-star-jelly-roll-pattern
Jeanne made her star bigger and added the on point squares at the top and bottom, so the quilt wasn’t square.
I love the batik fabric she used, the purpled are a perfect addition to all the blues.
Jeanne choose Patricia Ritter and my Opal©️ quilting design for the quilting. I love it!! She thought it reminded her of shells. Opal is available at https://www.urbanelementz.com/opal.html in both paper and several different digital formats.
I love the quilty texture on the cream background as well as the lovely batik fabrics.
I used my favorite 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline and Dyed Natural A&E Perma Core 30 tex thread.
The backing picked up all that texture, too!! Hope you enjoy seeing this quilt and the many more I’m going to share over the next several days. Happy holidays!!
