Laurie’s grandsons quilt!

Laurie made this super cute quilt for her grandson, using a map panel from Sarah Federking called Little Explorers, from Studio E Fabrics.  The border fabrics, Laurie found before from doing a my spy quilt, and they fit perfectly with this cute map panel.

When I saw this quilt all finished, I immediately knew which pantograph I wanted to quilt on it.  I used the digital design Malachite by Patricia Ritter from Urban Elementz go to: https://www.urbanelementz.com/malachite.html  This design creates the most awesome texture.  Which I think is excellent with this map.

The backing is a solid minky, and unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of it...but can you imagine those wonky swirls?  It’s amazing!

I used a white 30 tex A&E Perma Core thread, and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline.

Love this one!!  I’m so lucky to do something I love.  -Happy quilting!
